Electro Zinc Galvanised Steel (JIS G3313 SECC)
Electro Zinc Galvanised Steel is a process of depositing zinc on a steel surface through electrolysis using a bath of zinc salt. The zinc coating thickness is relatively thinner compared to HDG products. The finished products are usually recommended for indoor use in relatively dry areas.
Pre-Zinc Galvanised Steel (JIS G3302 SGHC/SGCC)
Pre-galvanised steel is produced by coating coils of steel with zinc by continuously rolling the material through molten zinc at the mills. Hence, it has better corrosion protection compared to the base steel, but the zinc thickness coated is lesser compared to Hot Dipped Galvanised (HDG).
Mild steel was chosen due to its economical factor and widespread availability. The corrosion resistance of mild steel is accelerated in moister and non-neutral environments.
Various surface treatments are required for coating the mild steel surface for anti-rust protection.
(SS304 or SS316 / 316L Stainless Steel, with 2B Surface)
Stainless steel materials are chosen for fabrication mainly due to their higher corrosion and chemical resistance.
The SS 304 material’s corrosion resistance is superior to any other mild steel-based material, while the SS 316 material is even greater than SS 304 in terms of corrosion resistance.
